Dun flame me... i know there are some ppl here that absolutely despise the anime.
And for those who ARE into it... they are very doubtful of the HK movie... in fact I do.
But I am just sharing info i got...
I happen to see a clip of "THE MAKING OF" the above-mentioned movie from a variety show from taiwan.
And frm wat i saw... I am "a bit" impressed...
Some real drifting and "assisted drifting"(steel wires) in the movie...
wouldnt mind uploading but... sorry no webspace.
i can give u all a link tho... but open it directly with WMP...
it doesn't really wana "save target as".

I cant believe it.. but it actually looks good.
You never know the fact that its from taiwan or whatever will probably make the movie evan more underground than a Japanese release.. and another plus is Hollywood does look to Japan and China to steal movie Ideas.. maybe with it tucked away in taiwan we wont ever have a hollywood storyline about initial d

its a honky movie so its gonna get massive press release.
I can already tell that they've fubard a few things. The gtr was drifting... nakazato does not drift his gtr, hes an avid grip fan. Also the colour and kit on the gtr is all wrong
but who cares, its still gonna be good

its a cool clip i actually said "wow" when i saw that gtr drifting
looks like theve actually put effort into it i was thinking it was either gonna be fake or theyre gonna have crappy guided drifts (like on tracks or something)

Meh. Takumi's all wrong. Keisuke is too short. The Fujiwara Tofu (private vehicle) - perfect!
Plus it's just all wrong in cantonese. :/

Yes takumi is weird, keisuke is too. Two characters that look pretty good are the lanevo driver with the bandana (forgot his damn name) and bunta lol.

agreed they couldve done way better with takumi he kinda looks stuck up instead of sleepy/dopey

kinda hard for hollywood to make initial d movie. All their cars are left hand drive!!
Hollywood would probably turn all the characters into chiqs and spoil the whole thing like what tey did to taxi anyway..
Cant believe anthony is playing Bunta. Suitable just never imagined it. He usually acts as a gangster (chinese mafia)
