MA70 Boost/Fuel Cut Sun, 24 October 2004 11:07 Go to next message
Hey,

Just wondering what this feels like when it happens? Also how bad is it 4 your engine?

I have a feeling my car may have done it 2night but not sure. The car was reving fine and then as boost started to build (not sure where it was at as its set to 9psi the car seemed to hit a brick wall and started bunny hopping like when you are running on empty, as it happened the engine warning light came on?

Does this sound like fuel cut? If it is something must be leaking to allow it to reach 11psi :S

Thanks in advance

Yep sounds like boost cut, most comman problem is cold air has a higher density then warm air causing it to boost that little bit more (had the same problem). It could also be a leak from the compressor housing to the wastegate or a wastegate not opening, boost cut will happen all the time if this is the case.
