3SGE engine [price drop] SOLD Sun, 24 October 2004 11:42 Go to next message
I have a 3SGE complete motor in my garage that was pulled out of an ST162 SX it would use about 1 litre of oil a week, was still going strong and didnt make any funny noises, pick it up for $100.

Confused sorry mate I have absolutely no idea Confused ...but oil was in the throttle, if thats any help....if you know what is wrong with it please tell me.

he he he..there was oil coming out of the TB on my 4age when a rod let go and shattered #2 piston into 4 large pieces against the head!!!

but you said it was still going..so the oil might jsut be from the cam cover breather..

engine still has good twin cam head on it, TVIS, etc. dont hesitate to ask any Q's

if its using that much oil and still driving resonable (when it was running) then its most likely rings, stem seals would nt use that much oil.

but you can never really tell for sure
