Leaks in my ra28

When it rains, it leaks into my ra28. I've resealed the windscreen (neatly, with some gutter sealant ) but it didn't fix it.
It seems to drip slowly just onto your right foot if you're on the drivers side, and drips like 10cm to the left of your left foot on the passenger side.
Any ideas where this is coming from?

Check your drivers side air vent, I vaguely recall having dramas with that leaking in my RA23 a while back!

check the drivers side grommet where the loom pokes through behind the guard, or the accellerator linkage grommet. Otherwise there could be a problem with the rubber and windscreen.

Whereabouts should i look for the drivers side airvent? Do you mean the air intake, or something like that? I'm confused.
Could it possibly be something to do with this louvre ?

I've had a similar problem. It could be 2 factors.
1. your windscreen rubber may have joins on the corners, these may have started to split, therefor it leaks. or
2. the chrome moulds around the screen are held on by metal clips. These may have rusted and swollen.
i tried heaps of sealant, I even took out the clips and put sealant and it still didn't work. new rubbers professionally fitted.

I don't really want to fit new rubbers, as i have a suspicion that if someone takes the windscreen off there might be a stack of rust in there, which i reeeeeally dont want to have to fix.
I'll try sealing up the windscreen though... i've only made a halfassed effort at sealing it so far, so if i do it properly i might hit paydirt.

Thats exactly where it drips in my car !!
But no i can't see any rust anywhere - i don't know how to look inside the "box area" anyhow - i took the wheel guards off and that didn't get me anywhere.

I actually had two RA28's, both leaked in the front windscreen seal and the rear screen seal... basically because of the old rubber splitting at the joins. I had new screen rubbers put in which worked v.well, but still have some leaks from door rubbers which leaves wet carpet near the acc pedal. Also the rear small windows tend to leak down under the back seat and onto the floor there... lots of new rubbers needed $$$ for me
To fill joints i found sikaflex (yuk) worked ok and some '?Gold' stuff, as long as the don't go hard and crack in the sun
Have fun

I got a front windscreen rubber from rare spares for $110 a coupla years ago. The rubber was one piece so no corner joins like the factory one. Just take it to a window guy I'd suggest...

As Norbie said, check your air vent.
I bet you get a sock full of it when you go around a left hand corner.
In the photo you put up earlier, under this grill is the Plenum chamber. Stick your hand in there and feel around for rust holes. Often bits of leaf and crap get in and rot away in there giving a perfect environment for rust to occur.
Problem is this is a horrid place to fix rust cos you can't get to it.

Ok i finally checked the air vents. Couldn't fit my arms in there, but i got the hose and blasted heaps of water through there, and none leaked into the car.
Any other ideas?
