I have a sprinter with a 4age conversion that the guy I bought it off did, runs great but a few days ago the water pump shat itself and cracked (both sides).
I ordered another bigport waterpump but its not the same one, and doesn't fit... What else could it possibly be?
what water pump out of what car? any possibilities??
I can take a picture of the original...
isn't there a part code or something somewhere on the water pump
PLEASE HELP!

Or you could just take the old water pump in and see if they could cross match it.
The dude could have even put the g-head on to a 4a-c block.

tried cross matching, toyota is useless they dont know a battery form a gearbox. I doubt he would ahve put the ge head on the 4ac block because i saw the whole 4ac from when he took it out, but is there anyway that I can check to be sure...
I have tried searching buddy, and the stuff that is out there is different to my query .... i need to know what this water pump is out of. It does not have a remote thermostat and I intend to keep it that way
Please help me out here... its really frustratiing

You'd be surprised how good Toyota is if you give them enough info.
Look on the waterpump, is there a part number? (I'm not sure if waterpumps have them printed on them, most other parts do somewhere). If so, just order that part number.
If not, get yourself an EPC, and check every car the 4AGE came in, try and match your with the pics.
This will give you the part number.

Yes, but this is Toyota at Nambour. The guy that i saw there didn't even believe me that a pressure plate for the clutch got bolted to the flywheel
Could the water pump be from a different model of motor? E.g: 2S. Cause don't all 4a motors use a remote thermostat?
Just a thought, gtr_gaga, you might even have to quize the dude on the water pump and the rest of the motor.
