Looks like another one of HK's over done & over acted movies.
Thin on talent, big on actor ago and not alot else.
I dont understand the appeal of this movie - the market prices of AE86 might drop after they see some prat who cant drive and or act stick cigs in his / her mouth and spout lines they dont understand.
Its been a very long time since i've seen a decent movie thats come out of HK.
If this movie were to be screened in anywhere but HK, Macau etc it might just be a total box office @#$k up.
I can handle the initial d hype and appreciate the work gone into the jap anime series. But (after seeing the trailer) i dont care to have the HK rendition of it bastardise the good name that is (and should be legal) unapproved midnight motorsport.

i know i'm a big fan of initial D, but after seeing the trailer, i got a strange feeling that the movie will attract more young teenage girls (read: crazy Jay Chow fanatics) more than the anime fan...
