hey mate it's diamondstar from the cordia forum. You are not gonna get a AE86 'cheap'. Any reasonable condition ones will go from $2800 upwards. Are you still looking for a car? What exactly do you call 'Reasonably cheap'?

$3000 is cheap for a aus spec in good condition with minimal or no rust

I hate to say it, but you'll be pushing very hard to get a good condition, licenced, aus-spec sprinter for under $3k.
The mint condition JDM ones are even selling for more than they were new! I saw one for sale on the net a little while ago for 1.5 million yen! Thats nearly $19k australian! Mad hey!
