Buyer Beware.

About 4 months ago we privately bought a 2nd hand 2002 model corolla. We had it checked first by RAC, my mechanic etc and everything came up ship shape.
A couple of weeks ago, the lower left corner of the under dash popped off the centre console, not a huge amount, but noticable if you looked at it.
I took it into the toyota service center to have it fixed under the still-valid new car warranty. Only after they pulled it apart, they discovered that some wanker had previously taken the dash off, broke the bracket, and tek screwed it back together.
Warranty void on part, $1500 for a replacement thank-you-very-much.

Ouch Reminds me why I haven't touched a thing on my car apart from the rims, I was thinking of changing the stereo but this makes me reconsider...
