Do they share enough characteristics that they fit in the same spot? I'm tempted to make an SA, seeing as I can get an ex-RWD motor...

Yeh, rwd box and TA46 Celica (rear wheel drive A4x, doesn't everyone have one? Certainly seems that way! ), if there're mods needed I can't really afford an engineer's inspection, so...

Do a search for '3sge rwd' or similar....and you will find out that getting a 3sge into anything rwd isn't an easy operation. It certainly isn't a bolt up In fact there isn't even a bellhousing (unless its aftermarket) to make a 3sge bolt up to a T50 (I think thats what TA46's have?).

Also what do you mean by getting an ex rwd 3sge? Has it already been converted to rwd (only the gen 5? BEAMS 3sge, the newest one anyway came as rwd from the factory....) or is there something else going on here?
Anyway I suggest you do a search on 3sge rwd conversions, and then get back to us
