2nd Gen 3S-GE - Sell or Rebuild Tue, 26 October 2004 11:03 Go to next message
I currently have a 2nd gen 3sge in my garage with a fornicated big end bearing in the #1 piston. It doesn't have an intake manifold on it.

now what would it be worth if i was to sell it.

or should i do a semi performance rebuild on it,

5s-crank, better cams, and new pistons heads or something along those lines?

what would you guys suggest i do, and what would the costs involved of a rebuild be?

If i had it sitting at my place, i would have the head slightly bored out, then have it stroked, to make it about a 2.4L engine. As for the pistons i would use forgies, as one i put 18psi through it i don't want the pistons to shatter.

But thats just me.
