Hi all, what do you think of the baffling in this sump? I am thinking of this for the 3tgte sump to help with some track work. This design has come from someone who used to run a modified 18rg in improved production racing and said has had very good results.

Cheers
Joel

Hard to say without having a closer look. The main thin gis to ensure the oil has a way of easily getting in, but has trouble getting out.

Some of the really fancy ones use sprung loaded trap doors.

Mind you if it worked on the track, then it should be OK. Can it be proven that it worked though ?

Cheers

on the 2tg we also had door hinges and another baffle 25mm down from the top of the sump to stop the oil hitting the crank and also a windage tray bolted to the block with slots in it just enough room for the rods and crank to rotate
