oil catch can installation Tue, 26 October 2004 11:39 Go to next message
i went to peps auto spares to buy a catch can and they had to order one in for me...
it came in and i picked it up and its double the size of what i expected, and rather than having 2 connections at the top and a drain at the bottom, it has the connection tubes one at the top and one at the bottom both out of the side, and on the very bottom it has a drain plug and on the top a big screw off lid with a gasket...
i don't get at all how this is meant to work, sounds more like they gave me a dry sump tank or something?? could anyone help out?

cheers, jesse

technical section! Smile

From my understanding, you have it hooked up to where your PCV valve is and the vacuum sucks the air out one of the pipes after it has gone through the can and hopefully left what ever crap is in it there.
