Pictures of my new idle control valve modification on my 1JZ-GTE. Courtesy of Brenton at Fours N More, Adelaide.

It now idles cold, and factory when warm, and idles up with the air-conditioner. This has been integrated with the MicroTech LTX12.

I know there has been a lot of interest with aftermarket ECU's especially MicroTech and 1JZ's.

Does the 1JZGTE use a 4-wire ISCV like a 7M/1G? I'm most likely going to be purchasing a 4AGE 20v ISCV for when I get a Microtech down the track.

I'm having trouble working out from those pictures, what exactly did they do?

They put an extra solenoid in conjunction with an air screw to idle up for the Aircon and cold start idle. They also removed the stock ICV valve on the 1JZ and modified a new series of hoses to work in the manifold.

I will circle what they did if it isn't obvious to non 1JZ patrons.

that looks like they've recycled the air-con idle-up hardware and ICV from a humble 5M (or similar vintage) and bolted onto some 1JZednes
Laughing
... but it works, is lo-tech and parts can be sourced from many donors.

Another idea, grab a 'hose type' idle valve from an old Falcon (XE/XF EFI). That way you can have idle speed control, not just an idle up.

LOL, i DO have one of those.. it uses PWM to work it, but i haven't bothered to find out what the inputs are yet.. something like 50Hz?
was trying to use a 7KE ISCV, but it's fuxored Sad, might end up adapting the ford one for manual idle control with a PWM circuit..

Danish, looks the goods Smile

It will open or close if it is too cold or hot. Primary idle speed is achieved through progamming of the ECU.

Some parts are Toyota/R33.

Thanks oldcorollas, all credit goes to Brenton at Fours N More, he is experienced with making these for 1JZ's with MicroTech's.

It is fully adjustable and performs like a factory car now.
