Which IC to choose?

Hey guys,
I've currently got a tube-fin intercooler. It has a core size of 550x250x57mm. I got it a while ago, and it cost me $500, this of course being before a decent intercooler was cheap to buy.
I've been offered my mums boyfriends intercooler I've been constantly bugging him for. It's got a core size of 450x300x75mm and appears to be bar and plate. Holding it up against my car, it fits better too. He said I could have that for $500, and it's never been used.
Now, I know I wouldn't get what I paid for the other intercooler, but should I get the new one in its place and flog off the original one?
Thanks,
Nathan

As above, or is you can handle another 150mm, a 600x300x76mm core is only $10 more.

I saw that, its plaguing my mind. That said, the 450mm one has ample size in reality, easiest to fit, leaves room for power steering cooler, doesn't block as much airflow to my stock radiator.
