Hey I got a new dump pipe made up down at st george mufflers and the bloke said that my cat's burnt out.

an ignition coil stuffed up so i didn't have a spark in one of the cylinders. this probably caused unburnt fuel into the exhaust which ignited and burnt the cat (thats my therory anyways)

My qn is that I got it dyno tuned with a burnt out cat. If i put a new one on would anything change. I've got an aftermarket computer.

How much does a burnt cat affect the way your car performs?

A "burnt out" cat tends to melt into a big restrictive lump, so it can have a significant effect on power output.
