Hey, can anyone tell me how to remove the front cartridges from my ke10! Just bought new shockers all round, the backs are in but the front are being a slut!

well.... the only ones i've changed had inserts already in them... according to manual, and by looking at my other shocks, you should be able to unscrew the top off them, similar to what you do with inserts.. there may be a top cap theing that has to be tapped off first tho...

according to manual, there's a 'shock absorber upper cap" looks like needs to e persuaded off, but is not threaded..

under that there is a threaded ring nut (but it's kinda more liek a bolt really) which is just like the normal retainer for shock inserts, but has a seal for the shock rod...

is most likely to be of a 'castellated' type, ie you need to make a tool to get the buggers out... if ay is showing above the strut casing, then get some big-arsed vice grips Smile

good luck,
Cya, Stewart

Tiny bit off topic, but when I had to remove my shocks, I bought a big arse plumbers wrench (65mm). I put a big piece of rag around the nut, tightened the wrench onto it and turned away.

Worked like a treat and didn't damage the nut. Smile
