As far as i am aware my corona (RT142) has a w55 or w56, These are almost exactly the same as the W58 so i was wondering if any of the supra/celica guys out there had designed a short shift kit for these gear boxes and more importantly could i incorperate it into my corona Gbox.
cheers

You can buy them for about $250ish USD from the USofA.
Not many Australian peeps have done it.
ed_ma61 has, but I don't think he's posted pics
Shoot him a PM, maybe he has

Bigworm has also built a couple of W58 short shifters.
The concept is really quite simple, make a spacer plate of thickness "X" to go between the gearbox and the shifter. Cut the bottom part of the shifter and weld in an extension of length "X".
This simply changes the ratio of shaft below and above the pivot point. To figure out how much the shift will be affected calculatet he ratio of the two lengths on the original. The figure out what percentage of the original shift length you want and do the maths to see what the value for the lower shaft lenght needs to be.

It's easy, I've done it, and there should be a post on it somewhere.
