EOI: ST205 8"x16" OZ Racing rims Thu, 28 October 2004 21:25 Go to next message
I can get a hold of a 2nd hand set of these.
The tyres are pretty shot, but they'd be great for a wide set of tyres for track days, etc

Would consider a part exchange for a narrower set of 16" rims to fit an ST205 (or if you've got a set of 6"x15" that will fit I'd almost do a straight swap)

Don't know how much they are new.

I'd be looking at around $1300 for the 4.

Although, I really would prefer to trade them for another set of 16" rims that'll fit an ST205 GT4.

I don't have any pics, but they are a white 5 spoke, 5x100PCD rim.

The price is only an approx guide, as I am selling them for someone else who thought I may have been interested.

Pic of one of the wheels.

The clear varnish of the rims has yellowed a bit with age.
Comes with 4 225/45R16 Bridgestone G Grid tyres. one is at only 5%, but the others are probably 20-30% good

If you are only going to use the tyres for track work, they'd be fine.
One has the outer edge worn down a fair bit (wouldn't pass a roadworthy)

was that 5% wear or 5% left tread on those ?

Id prefer good tread when fanging at over 200 KMH mate - you can understands thats im sure - !

the rims themselves are sweet but yeah - im unlikely to be able to afford more than $1k tops for " extras " on top of what i still have to do for the gt4 this year - so if they are still available in a month or so lemme know Plz.

One has a lot of wear on the outer edge.
This is the one I said has only 5% (left)
The rest of the tyre, and all the others have a fair bit of tread left.

I doubt they'll still be available in a month.

Do you have any other ST205 rims, or just the ST185 versions?
If you do, or are able to get a set, I'd considered getting these for you & storing them if we can work something out.

I need a set of 16" for my car, but 8" is too wide for what I'd use them for.
I'd really prefer a set of 15" like Bates uses on his rally car (more sidewall when I drive on dirt)

(Also, recheck the thread about the brake upgrade I did. I hit a small snag which you'll also get if you fit 205 brakes)

nods - i read the article - dunna nut it over with the engineer tomorrow whos doing the machining for me - though i dont see it as much of a problem here unless my wheel spokes foul ( ill be using brand new rotors + pads straight off the mark .. )

As forthe Oz wheels - i may have to let them pass mate , sorry ..

I mgith see about geting a cheap set of plain 5 spokers + good semi race tyres new when i start seriously looking at trackfun
