brakes without booster

Hi guys,
I have been doing my single turbo conversion today and have found out that there is absolutely no way of fitting the master cylinder and the brake booster in.
In the past, somebody suggested to me to run it without a brake booster. Obviously the pedal will be rock hard and will feel like it does without the motor on. But this is a weekend car anyway so I am not worried about that.
What I want to know, is if I need a special master cylinder or can i just get the rod shortened and bolt the master cylinder to where the brake booster was.
thanks
Chris

you can do anything you want really.
you can get the firewall modified and get the booster to sit in the cabin and the cylinder outside(engine bay)
or
you can get the booster and cylinder to sit wherever you can and get the brake pedal modified to get the rod to reach to where you have moved it
i would probably go for the first option

Or you can fit a race-style twin cylinder setup
Or you can fit a remote booster

you need, at minimum, a dual circuit master cylinder, so that if one circuit fails, the car still stops.
if you don't want/ can't have a booster, look to getting a VH40 or VH44 remote booster first..
brakes without booster are ok if discs are large enough, or if MC is small enough.. ie more pedal travel gives you more leverage = easier to push...
you want them to be firm, but not be an effort to stop car each time...
fwiw, KE1x corollas never had boosters, but they are a very light car too.
i'd be talking to an engineer about it, since major brake modifications need to be certified... perhaps...

i dont know why with only a single turbo u had to get rid of master cylinder and booster
if it was my car i would rather modify the turbo setup than to fuck round with brakes
who cares how fast the car goes
if the brakes arent up to scratch u can be fukt so easily
maybe mounting turbo further forward would have been better
i have fitted twin race master cylinders and remote boosters
and ill tell u know its not an easy job and in the end could turn out to be quite expensive
thats if u still want yr brakes to be just as good
for a street car thast gets driven regularly i would suggest running a booster
in a race car they dont run them because the brakes are so good anyway

well the car isn't exactly a street car. It will only be used on the weekends and when I go to the drag strip.
The current brake setup is HQ holden large single piston calipers on vented discs up front and mitsubishi pajero 4wd brakes in the rear on large solid discs.
I can't change the position of the turbo as it is a full turbo kit. That is why I would rather modify the brake system.
Anyway, I am ringing the engineer now.
thanks

don't worry, looks like I jumped the gun
turns out I can just get the same master cylinder but with brake line outlets on a different side. And that should be enough to make it all fit
thanks again anyway

turns out it is not so easy to get one after all All the Holden/PBR ones have outlets on the left. I need the bottom or right.
So does anyone know what booster and master cylinder may fit instead? 4 bolts into firewall for booster? I know this is a longshot but the brake places and the wreckers don't know shit. They all say it is too hard.
