Don't be surprised if $180 was just for the 3 "Group A Rallye" stickers not the full set.
If it is the "last" full set do you think you could scan them in a reasonably high res and email them to me.
I will then arrange for more sticker sets to be made up so that they are still available if anyone else with an original group A ever needs a set.

These weren't on the computer... The computer already listed them as NLA but he had some on the shelf, he and I have been negotiating in $$$/cases of beer.
I have seen them and it is a full set!
I will certainly scan them in... insane resolution, higher the better for reprinting!

Very nice Shane. Can't wait to see it finished. We'll have to get the brisbane Grp A's together soon.
Actually I'll start a topic in QLD pages. See who we can get. Open to ST185's or maybe all GT-Fours.
With regards to stickers (car parts in general). What happens when a model run is finished? Do all the parts continue to be made for a short time and stockpiled against future spare parts need, or do they keep making them in batches every time they run out and if so for how long? Do they keep all the moulds and tooling for a specific amount of time or is it once they are done that's it? $600+ for a LED spoiler brakelight is a bit of a joke unless scarcity is factored in.

Yep I definately think the Group A's are under-rated... especially now that they can be had for 13-15g's!
On that note:

For Sale:
Yamaha FZR-1000 90 model with big bore kit: $5000
Reason for sale: It doesn't have the type of 4cyl 4 stroke Yamaha head I was after.
Queen sized bed: $500
Reason for sale: No longer required as I will be sleeping in the Garage guarding the Group A's.

Just to verify the list... the last 3 digits of your vin would be 515 correct?
If so your car was originally delivered to Sydney port.

Guys, under close inspection I believe that all of the original Turquoise (749) Grp A's actually used the 'Grey font' sticker set like the Black (202) ones did from the factory.

tooch wrote on Sun, 20 March 2005 10:01 | Noticed something interesting the other day, I checked the paint code on my build plate, and my car was originally metallic silver! It's now metallic black, and has been painted all over, i.e. engine bay etc. but not under the boot carpet
I'm assuming it was stacked and re-sprayed but the paint has been re-done very well and the body is straight so meh!
|
Just to quote you from a while back Tooch, yes you are correct (obviously, you've checked for yourself ), your car was also covered with an unusual sticker set at one stage (above the door strips and where the 'Grp A Rallye' sticker belongs on the boot lid) and I believe it also had an aftermarket sunroof as well (not 100% sure about this).
It looks much better now that it is in your capable hands!
