im having trouble with my engine atm and i was wondering if anyone could help me. i realise it might be obvious but im not seeing it. My car at two thousand revs (if i hold it there) drops about 200 revs and then goes back up and drops and so forth. Im also have problems with it hesitating when i plant it. This made me think it was my carbi but any help would be appreciated . BTW Its a 4afc (carbi)
have you checked your sparks? the revs dropping like that could be as simple as a misfire caused by dirty sparks or a bridge somewhere in the leads.
this would also explain the hesitation in accelerating.
yea i just had problems with the seals aorund the spark leads on the rocker cover and oil leaked into the spark plug. also the lead snapped so the leads are new as is the plugs and seals. i also put a carby kit through it not long ago and the problems started a liitle bit after that so i wonder if i maybe did it
