Thought I'd mention this.
If you're stuck in a mud or something and do not have an LSD differential (rear wheel drive) - try a handbreak. Pull handbreak gently to make brake shoes/pads work just a tad - and feather clutch & throttle to get outta harm.

So simple yet so clever!!! thats why when i do handbrake launches with the cressi it takes off so mad...when i stall with the brake only i get 1 wheel wheelspin witch sucks when you want to take off hard...ps i don't just drop the hand brake i let it off evenly as i'm taking off...i guess a pair of brake pads are a little cheaper than a TRD LSD huh???Smile

Stalling up an auto isn't doing it much good (even tho I like doing it occasionally).

mx83toy, there is a shop in Adelaide with new stall convertors for our A340E gearboxes that increase stall RPM and are apparently 'tunable' between normal gearchanges and, as they put it "dash cracking" gearchanges. The conversion also removes the farting sound between gears that we all get after changing exhaust systems.

It's about $850 and includes an automatic transmission cooler, full flush of old fluid, new fluid, and a new torque convertor.

If you're interested (or anyone else with a 1JZ/1UZ auto) I'll post the link.
A group buy might be interesting... I'm so tempted at the moment.
