Hey all,
I am new to this site and these forums, so hi to everyone.
I have a 1990 CS Corolla AE92. My synchro's are are wearing badly and I need a new gearbox for my 4A-FC engine. I want something other than the standard though. One with a smaller shift and close ratios. Any suggestions on the type of sporty 'box I can get. Any indications of price within Astralia would be awesome as well. Thanks.

A 20valve 4A-GE box should fit, & this has the closest ratios out of all the 4A FWD boxes. They go for about $200-250.

Why not get the 20v or even a 16v motor while you're at it? Very Happy

Thanks man. I have a 16v engine, but am seriously considering getting a reconditioned 4A-GE. I'd get a new corolla, but with my stereo, alarm and fog lamps, I love her too much. Plus the whole first car thing.
