I am currently rebuilding my 18rg, I am having trouble sourcing pistons to suit, proferably turbo ones as the plan is to super charge this with a 1ggtz charger.so does anyone no a supplyer for these . if turbo pistons are not available then would 18r flat tops do, with cut outs for valves, thanks phill.

i am currently building my 18rgeu with turbo and am using the 18rc pistons to lower the coimpression..ive talked to a few turbo sprecialists and they say solong as u keep enough fuel so it doesnt lean out u shouldnt have any dramas with the pistons at all...u do not need the cut outs as they are lower sitting pistons

Speak to The Witzl and/or YelloRolla about this, they're organising a group buy for 18R-G low-compression forgies. Last I heard the plan is to use 22R Wiseco pistons.

I was looking into the Wiseco option and it doesn't suit the application.
I recommend looking to one of the custom forged piston manufacturers here in Aus.
Special Piston Services in Dandenong or Australian Precision Engine Parts also located in Vic.

it's the 20R that will work.
the 20R that has the dome. the 22R has the flat top dish.
