RA28 engine conversion

im wanting to change the motor in my RA28, the 18r geu bolts in i think but is it the best way to go, are there any better/faster engines that fit easily. turbo would be good.
i want a motor that i can get a 12 sec 1/4 out of
any suggestions?
any help at all would be great.

Wasn't there a thread on this just this morning? Please search before posting new topics, we have enough repitition as it is!
Very briefly though, an 18R-GEU won't get you close to a 12 second pass without a large cash injection. You'd be lucky to crack a 15 with a stocker. The 1G-GTE is a better bet if straight-line speed is what you're after.

there is alot of jumbled info every where, its hare to put it all together.
i want a fast street car that i can drag, how hard is the 1g gte it put in.
how much work would need to be done to the 18r geu,
im looking at spending $4-5000 on a motor all up, how far and fast will that get me??

I went to the search page and typed "RA28 engine conversion", and got at least a dozen relevant threads on the first page. I'm not going to waste my time helping you if you're just plain lazy.
