I've found a fighter jet for sale - top speed of 435mph and top altitude of 36 000 feet.

i think there's functioning L39 in australia somewhere.
In the US they use them in jet acrobatics

engine life: 1000hrs - i recall seeing one listed for sale in eastern european states for as little as US$150K (not flightworthy of course) ...
is crazy to think that you can buy something like that for less than the purchase price of an average Sydney house.... or a garden variety porsch?
...and if you have more money to burn on holiday stuff, there's a mob in russia who give you a few hours flying time in a MiG29. I can't find that site -tho there's now a few russian companies offering one-off flights for tourists in MiG 25's, 29's and Su27's :
