There has been a tonne of discussion of the 2T 3T hybrid setup on here over the years.
My summary:
Pro's
It's cool
You can make more power than a 2TG
Con's
It costs a butt load of money to do really well
You can make a lot more power for less money with forced induction

I recomend a 3T/2TG hybred rebuild. Keeps the engine bay looking stock. Buy a old 3T motor, use the bottom end. Need to swap a few things around. If you have some money, bore the 3T block out to 89mm and get forget pistons = 2 liter. This will give some oomph.
Also, for a worthwhile result, you should get some wilder cams. Stock cams are around 250 degrees duration. I have 305 degrees in mine, and I get around the street just fine.
With everything done, you could posiably get 200hp. But probably less. Mine is only a 86mm bore, and I guess I have 160hp. Stock motor is about 110hp.

OR 1.94 litre (I suppose that is close enough).

But i thought the 2TGEU use the 3T block anyways, only earlier ones didnt and need to be ground...just what ive read anyway

But you still need to get a 3T crank from somewhere, and 3T pistons if you are going to use old ones. Most 3T cranks for sale are still inside a 3T engine.

i love these cars, whered you pick ut up and how much?
disc rear?
all the jap goodies?
i've got a 2tg/3t hybrid, loads of fun, if you want to keep it looking stock and original go for it, if not a 3tgte would be dam nice in there! and has loads more potential, i sorta wish i took that route sometimes
