WTB: Trueno

I am looking to buy a Trueno. To answer any obvious questions before they get asked:
Car: Want to buy a Trueno (with pop-up headlights)
Condition: I'd prefer mechanical condition over body, although I don't want something that's heavily rusted etc. Basically something drivable, and if the paint is not in great condition, I am not worried, but I want it to be looked after mechanically, and if it has mechnical modificatins (engine, brakes, suspension etc) then great.
Budget: I don't have a specific budget, but I have some idea what they are bought/sold for these days, and as long as it's in good condition, I am sure the seller and I can come to an agreement.
How to contact me: Please send me a PM / email via my profile.
Thanks!

dude, you'd be far better off importing one
I only know of 4 in Sydney and front cuts are like a dime a dozen. Only 2 of them are genuine and one of them got converted back to a Levin front because of a smash
maybe just go for an Aus delivered Sprinter?
If you really want a trueno, fork out about $12K+ and join the que

SEXY 16: Really? show me!! I am talking about a genuine Trueno with pop up headlights, not the standards Aussie ones that have fixed ones.
ae86slaver: Any contacts you have for importing one? I dont mind if it's australian model, but from what I understand, the Aussie ones all had fixed headlights? *sorry still a n00b and learning*

yeah aussie ones have fixed headlights, drum brake single spinner, donk 4AC and other rubbish which would require alot of work into a decent drift build.
try www.importblitz.com speak to John
or speak to Garth (ae86drift) on these forums, i'm sure he'll give you a 'complete' run-down

i can see where this thread is going to go
anyway, crazy88, dont expect to get much change from $10k - $12k when looking for a trueno.
they are all imports and are much more expensive than any aus - delivered ae86.
if you have a fairly large budget your best bet would be to import one that meets your specifications. plus it would be good to have another trueno floating around australia
or, buy that one in the for sale section

Why doesn't toymods sticky a WTB Trueno post up the top or put it in a FAQ.
With Initial-D getting stronger and stronger I'd say there will always be people with little knowledge of the car hopping on here asking questions which have been answered before.

Nah, I thought I might try my hand at potato farming... In Derry. Small town in Northern Ireland. You know it? I hear they have some nice old tractors there too. And while I'm there, I'm planning to knock over this swine's house where he has some mint AE86's in a shed.
