hi i am looking at buying a 4a-ge that is a bare engine. no loom, manifolds etc. i am looking at putting it in a ta22 celica. all i want to know is how nuch the manifolds, loom etc will set me back. basically how much i will have to spend to get all the parts to make it a running engine.
I've just done a similar thing and personally wouldn't recommend buying an engine that isn't already complete. I had a lot of trouble finding the bits required and ended up costing a lot more than it would have complete.
To give you an idea I got the 4age 100kw engine for $380.
Then I got:
loom for $150
Ignitor $50
ECU $60
distributor $90
alternator $60
Bits n pieces (sensors etc) $70
