What should, or what is everybodys oil pressure on a 2TG .. Mine seems a little low..

It's nearly on 25 KPA on idle..next to nothing..

At about 6000RPM it's at 375KPA..

I know there not anywhere near as high a 4AGE..

Thanks..

Jesus, thats less than 4Psi!
Mine has higher idle pressure when it's cold than yours does at 6 grand..... when it's warm, mine idles at 20Psi, and at 6 grand would be up around 80Psi, but yeah, is a 4A-GE.

What sort of oil are you using?

Joe,

I don't have figures for the 2TGEU but yours is on ar with Chris's. A 2TG tho is supposed to have considerably more. According to the owners manual Oil pressure under "normal" driving conditions should be between 40 and 70 PSI !

I can only guess that the 2TGEU has a lower volume oil pump ?? If your worried about it. The oil pump from a 3TGTE should increase oil pressure as they are the highest volume T series pump.

I have had a 2tg with a basic 2t oil pump for about 5 years it run about 150 kpa cold idle 300kpa run cold
how ever when hot with 20-40 oil idle was around 20kpa and run at 250 kpa
I have just installed a 3tgte and cold idle with full synthetic oil is off the gauge that is 500kpa.
when it is hot idle is 150kpa,around 2500rpm is 350kpa and any higher rev pushes the needle off the gauge.
I'm yet to know if this is normal or not so any feed back would be nice
note.

I tried to run penrite gt race oil and blew 2 ryco oil filter apart in to days an expensive lesson considering $20 filter $37 oil twice in 2 days back to synthetic oil for me plus valvoline oil filter seems to be working anyone see problems with this please reply

Ihave read on the web that the 2tg &2t oil pumps are different I dont know if that means that the 2tg pump is high volume or higher pressure or if the same aplies with the 3tgte &3t motors but if it does I would say that it was higher pressure hence my
problem so maybe it is good that u only have the 2t oil pump & not the 2tg one.
glad to be of assistance maybe the favour will be returned one day after all that is what this is all about isnt it.
u scratch my back ill sratch yours.
