I don't know what to call them Embarassed The two little black shock absorber type thingies that are supposed to hold the bonnet up - well they won't. Are they easy to find or do you have them rebuilt or what. Can anyone make a suggestion please? I currently have to carry a lump of 3X2 to prop the bonnet up. Laughing

Also, I just broke the bottom loop off the passengers seat belt buckle and now it slips down to the floor all the time and is hard to put on. Can you get them replaced?

My gas struts are pretty weak now... I always thought they were fine because they hold the bonnet up pretty good. Then I had a look at a friend's Cressida and narrowly missed smacking myself in the face when the bonnet came flying upwards. Shocked His struts could hold the bonnet up even when it is only 300mm open.

No idea where to get them regassed but I know that it is a pretty common little procedure.

But the best part about getting them regassed is you can make them as strong (or weak) as you want....

I paid $75 a pair to get the rear ones re-gassed in a Pulsar Hatch..

OK, what sort of business regasses them. A steering place, hydraulic place, what?

Forgive my sarcasim in this post - but the internet has obviously made many people too lazy... What did you guys do to find places before forums were invented ???

The internet is a wonderful thing and the builders of the internet have made it soooo easy to find what you want to find...

Here is an example...

I went to www.whitepages.com.au (you know, the online version of that big pair of white books you have by your phone in pristine condition because they are never used..) and typed in "strut" "NSW" "Metropolitan" and got back......

Strut Regas Pty Ltd
23 College St
Drummoyne 2047
Mobile Service 0418 690 635

however there are these great sites called SEARCH ENGINES - one of which can be found at.... www.google.com, when I typed "strut regas" and "Australia only" I got the following site....

http://www.strutregassa.com.au/strut_locations.php

so for the love of God - Use a little common sense and SEARCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for that. I am not in Sydney, but I looked up as you did and also in Google and found a place, that even though they didn't do it, they knew a refrigeration place that did. $88 the pair for a regas or $155 the pair for new replacements. I think I'll replace them. I also got a price for keyless entry and I think I will go that way too. $225. Do you think it is worth it? Getting the power steering fixed today too. - hole in one of the hoses. Sad
