My gas struts are pretty weak now... I always thought they were fine because they hold the bonnet up pretty good. Then I had a look at a friend's Cressida and narrowly missed smacking myself in the face when the bonnet came flying upwards. His struts could hold the bonnet up even when it is only 300mm open.
No idea where to get them regassed but I know that it is a pretty common little procedure.

But the best part about getting them regassed is you can make them as strong (or weak) as you want....
I paid $75 a pair to get the rear ones re-gassed in a Pulsar Hatch..

OK, what sort of business regasses them. A steering place, hydraulic place, what?

Thanks for that. I am not in Sydney, but I looked up as you did and also in Google and found a place, that even though they didn't do it, they knew a refrigeration place that did. $88 the pair for a regas or $155 the pair for new replacements. I think I'll replace them. I also got a price for keyless entry and I think I will go that way too. $225. Do you think it is worth it? Getting the power steering fixed today too. - hole in one of the hoses.
