22RE hard to start

Hi guys
Have just picked up a 22RE Corona as a daily driver. It's nothing special but is generally in good condition. Drives perfectly, blows no smoke, doesn't miss at all under any throttle/load conditions, and fuel economy is commensurate with a light truck so there are no complaints there. The only problem it that it's a bit tricky to get it to catch when starting (mostly when cold).
Haven't had much of a chance to look into it as yet, but am religious on servicing so I cleaned the air filter and gave it new oil, filter and plugs at first opportunity after picking it up. I won't get a chance to look further at it until next weekend, but I've earmarked:
* new fuel filter (sixty bucks, ouch!)
* check leads with multimeter
* new points, rotor button & dizzy cap
Anything else I should be looking at?

The cold starting could also be a blocked or clogged cold start injector - spray it with carby cleaner to clean it, and refit to test.

My 22re corona has been sitting around lately waiting to be fixed and has been hard to start occasionally, turn crank blur, turn crank again and it fires into life. I have a solar battery charger and find it is brilliant. the battery in my car is too small but haven't had the funds to replace it will soon, anyway I reccommend buying a battery charger like 50 bucks fits well in the left rear section of the rear window shelf. It is trapped in by the seat release.

Ditto and check the water temp sensor.
