Still getting hot?

Went for a cane through the hills yesterday and my car still persisted to overheat, there was no problems when i was driving only when i stopped after a hard cane, the problem then is when you start driving it again it takes a while for it to cool down again, the cooling system has been flushed, it isnt burning or laking coolant, there is no milk in the oil, i have it narrowed down to a couple of things, one the water pump is rooted or two the clutch fan has bitten the dust...
I am considering putting the biggest thermo fan on i can find and getting rid of the clutch fan all together becuase when i am stopped it will cool the mofo down good, i hope
If that fails then i will have to chuck on one of my spare water pumps, if that fails then god knows what?
Any ideas here people?

Yep sounds like the fan to me, ie not locking up properly when it's hot.

well norb what do you think?
would it be wise to get rid of the clutch fan all together and just find the biggest commodore or falcoon thermo i can get or replace the clutch fan, but i hear this can be rather expensive

Replace the clutch fan if you can find a good second-hand one.
