hey guys, i was wondering, would slightly bigger turbo, a metal head gasket( be it thicker or standard),port and polish, uprated fuel injectors and upgraded uce save for stock block running on high boost?
let's take an mr2 3sgte engine as an example, swap the original ct26 turbine to TDO6 20g turbine, bigger injector, thicker metal gasket and port and polish to alter the compression and uses apexi s-afc. would this car runs safe with a 1.5 bar of boost, as it's original engine block was stock? or, does this setup will only work on stronger engine block, for example cast iron block (4g63 vr4, ca18, 4age?

3S-GTE has a cast iron block and is very tough. 1.5 bar is no problem with proper tuning.

It depends entirely on the engine. The SR20 is all alloy and can take a lot of boost, but some Honda alloy engines require strengthening to handle a decent amount of boost.
