At the moment im getting a new fuel pump...so i need some injectors to make a little bit of extra use to it...
Ive heard that 1jz injectors are a straight swap and are almost double the capacity of the standard ones...Is this true?
Cheers, Jon

i think 1JZ are side-fed injectors? if so, then 'no' is the answer.
even if they were physically fit-able, you'ld also have to deal with:
-the 1G injectors went from low to high impeidance at gen 2/3
-the stock computer will still think you have stock injectors and it's not reprogramable
it's your FPR that regulates how much pressure is in the fuel-rail - changing pump will do bugger all except keep fuel pressure up to the rail at all engine speeds (which the factory one did anyway).
if you want to make more use of your new fuel pump, get an aftermarket ECU and a risingrae regulator.

Ahh thanks. Its a little more complex then i thought lol
So basically, in short, they wont be any good with either of the choices you've suggested below..? Just by changing the injectors i mean?

if you ran newer 1G injector (and the wiring/electrics suited) then a minor improvement - but you'd be running rich all the time (and most factory toyota turbos run rich for safety) - probably not worth it
i'd suggest external stuff like:
-boost controller (like one from celicamad)
-bigger exhaust
-bigger/better intercooler
-better air filter
-cold air induction
-if you can find them, newer gen 3 turbos?

At the moment ive got cat back exhaust, doing bugger all, custom pod/heat shield/cai and larger fuel pump (long story but getting installed as i had to drop the fuel tank for another problem anyway). On the cards is definitely bigger front mount, but i didnt really want to do a lot to this engine, as in a year or two it wont be there...and injectors were, i thought, a simple change...lol

Yes they will.440cc from 7m-gte, straight in to a gen 1 or 2.
They will overfuel with standard managment.
Been there!
