Have a 6 speed gearbox off a Altezza 3SGE.
Possibly a close ratio set inside the box.
would fit behind a IS200 1GFE
Near new.
Same box as S15, S2000, RX-8.

your talking in riddles here its either a 3sge altezza box or a 1gfe gear box witch 1 is it S series or G series and is it a close ratio trd set or you dont know whats 1 st gear 3,8 or 3.1

Then its definitely a 3SGE box.
Cos it came with the engine
so I guess I can't go wrong there.
I have to find out what gearset is inside.

They are essentially the same box, but different b housing.

Actually the whole front of the gearbox is different. These don't have the separate bellhousing. Its incorporated into the gearbox casing. So trying to find the bits to do a swap would be challenging.
I'm also not sure how similar these are to the S15 200SX boxes. The shgifter arrangement is totally different and I think the shift pattern is different too.
Might be worth the $3K if it does have the TRD close ratio set in it though. I would doubt it if its just come via an importer though.

Are you able to check what the ratios actually are in this box by counting the turns on the input and output shafts in each gear?
