I have just had installed a 20 valve silver top engine in to my ae92 corolla seca and i very confused what steps i have to take to get it legal. Prior to the conversion i had a 4age 100kw in the car. i am located in south australia everyone i speak to gives me a different answer including motor reg.

if you can help please do

Go to regency - ask what's required - it's that simple.

or you could call regency (cbfed getting the number for ya though!)

just rind them up , ask what needs to be done . they will probably tell you that you need to come in and pick up a form to fill out , just to say what changes have been done like engine number and type of engine. youll probably be fine because its same no. of cylinders . They may or may not want to inspect the engine.

more then likely youll just have to give them the form.

thank you for your help i have now got theform and will fill it out asap. i have been driving the car with the 20v for over a year anyways but i believe its feels better to be partly legal so if i get defected for rims exhaust lcd lights or lowered its just one thing not to worrie about
