Would anyone know if the 4age (bigport) oil sump is compatible with the 4agze oil sump.

I presume all the 4ag series share the same sump size.

I wanted to get part # for the sump gasket.
Any idea how much they are? Guessing its either rubber or cork gaskets. <$10 ???

yes they are the same (they are interchangable) but cannot help you with a sump gasket. just go to an auto parts store and get one for an AE82/92 corolla TwinCam, even a sprinter!!!

Yep - all four of the 4AGE/4AGE/20v/GZE engines I've pulled to bits have had gasket sealant rather than a proper gasket.

Yeah, just get a tube of goo from the local auto parts joint, much easier, cheaper and probably more effective too! And yeah I've ripped a couple of 4a's apart now, all been nicely gooed up.

Take care - my 20v had a different sump shape to my 16v, make sure they match up first.

what dorikin no oil?? we use only dry sumps on the race cars. but it cost a fair bit to set up and is over kill on a street car. the sumps we make but the external pump is $1400+, plus an 8 litre or so tank for the oil then braided lines and filters. haha still cant get the no oil comment out of my head.
