the system has a built in amp at the back of the sub-woofer and i have been playing movies and music form my dvd player with no problems
i have only had it for a month and still have the box and equipment like manuals and speaker wire that came with it.
it is still under warranty and i need to find the reciept if the old lady hasnt thrown it away in her cleaning
it includes 4 speakers, centre speaker and 10' sub-woofer with built in amp. not sure what out the speakers are but the sub has 150rms. the amp also has 80watt per channel and 100watt for the centre

wait a sec so the amp in the sup powers all the speakers??? cool!!! it dosnt decode by any chance does it?
ie you can directly hook up digital /optical out puts to it???
