Hey guys,

Just getting some quotes for an exhaust today and i'm not sure if i'm getting shafted or if it's really just that expensive.

What i want is:

3" Turbo back
Mandrel bent
Split wastegate pipe
3" high flow cat
Mild steel

I've been quoted $1200-$1350

I'll supply my own muffler, but do you think this price range is overly expensive?

Thanks.

it sounds alright, in about the right range.
the cat will add quite a bit to it, as will the "split wastegate pipe" (dump pipe?)

edit: that said, you can almost certainly find a place that will do it a few hundred cheaper

I would have thought you could get that done for that price including a rear muffler

Sounds about right, but I agree it should include a muffler for that price. Of course it depends on the quality of the work; when it comes to exhaust systems you really get what you pay for. I paid a small fortune for my exhaust system but it truly is a work of art.

Likewise on my headers.

But yes, I'll 3rd (4th?) the opinion that that price should include a muffler.

FYI, 3" hiflo cats are about $300ish from a zorst place, Magnaflo 3" stainless mufflers are about $300, Lukey 3" stainless mufflers are about $350, 3" mandrel bends are about $30ish each, and 3" pipe is $30/metre.
Plus labour at $50-$70/hr

how much for a resonator? A straight one that would quiet it down heaps. Maybe even a box one.

I have a straight-thru/hot dog style one on mine.

Didn't quieten down the zorst by much, but did help the drone a little.

Its as good as I can get as I dont have the underbody room for a large one.

That was $100 plus fitting.

Why 'modify' the cat?
Do you really need that 1-2hp extra?
