urbine cars are just crazy, slower off the mark but once they start to move WOW forget who but saw something ages back about this guy with a turbine motorbike Shocked

Jay Leno owns one of those bikes... 300hp gas turbine out of a helicopter with a couple of wheels bolted on. Madness!

i was reading the manual that was on that chrysler site and it mentions:

Precautions Against Over speeding Power Turbine

Avoid sustained engine acceleration with wheel spinning on ice, snow, or mud.


so no burnouts allowed Embarassed

I forget the year but I think it was the 70's they raced a turbine car that looked very much like the le mans cars they race today .I think it may of even won a race .The biggest problem they had was that they had to brake earlier than a normal car and as they were coming out of a corner they had to have the car pointing in the direction they want ed before the turbine wound up or it would spear of the track.I havent got any pictures of the car anymore but I think it was light blue and red
