Why hydraulic? Full oil system pressure should not exceed more than 100psi, hydraulic fittings/lines would surely be an unneccesary cost?
1/2" (12.5mm) lines should be sufficient, or the nearest (larger) speedflow dash size depending on your choice of fittings. Are you planning an oil cooler as well? Try and keep your bends/lengths to a minimum. I assume this is for a 4AG?

Yeah 4AG. RWD config, so ill be mounting the oil filter on the chassis rail and then the cooler around the front.
Thinking about doing my GZE at the same time, but thatll have to run to the side for a cooler only.

if i recall correctly i am using dash 12 lines for my oil lines
my fuel ones are dash 8 and i think the oil ones were 2 sizes larger
i havent had a look under the bonnet for months though so i cant quite recall... i do however recall the 90 and 120 degree speedflow fittings were fucking expensive in that size

Yeah, even at -8 speedflow gear is exxy as. I think ill hit up Pirtek or somewhere else and use brass fittings.

dash 8 is 1/2"
dash 10 is 5/8
use dash 10 for oil cooler lines unless your oil cooler is a dash 12 one
a remote mount, hose fittings etc for that would probably be around $450-500 all in braided

Easier access is the only advantage. Most people do it as part of an oil cooler installation.

In the case of the 4AG can also have the advantage of moving the oil filter away from the really hot exhaust manifold.
