1G TOP MOUNT INTERCOOLER

I have a 1GGTE in a RA65, does anybody have a top mount water to air intercooler on ther 1G. i am at the stage of upgrading the intercooler, does anybody no if the water to air is better or not.

a water to air as a top mount is good. a big air-air fmic is better yet... depends how mucn money you have available

I have one.
IMO, W/A is better for a street application where there are short bursts of boost. The piping is heaps shorter, which cuts down on lag, and gives better cooling as long as the temp of the incoming water stays below ambient.
The major disadvantages are added complexity (electrically and mechanically) and added weight (from all the water).

although the w/a system has a fair bit of weight in the water, and the heat exchanger, air to air arnt exactly weightless either. . .
there is a fair bit of aluminium there.
water to air is still heavier, but is that 10 odd kilos going to kill a cars performance????
