eeek thats gotta annoy you with new discs and all.
perhaps you can grind a small amount off the lca? and then weld a straight piece of metal in there to give 2 or 3mm clearance?
or maybe just bend the edge a little inwards?
good luck

The lower control arm doesn't extend that far.
The ball joint bolts onto the end of it & sticks out past the end of the arm.

I doubt I can grind off material from the ball joint.

I had a similar problem a while ago and there were a few fixes I thought of. Some VERY dodgy, others not so bad:
grind/bash the end of the lower control arm in. Dodgy and no good in your case.
Fit offset RCAs, again no good in your case cos the ball joint would sit above these anyway.
Possibly space the caliper, rotor and wheel out from the strut 1-2mm. This is most likely illegal, and I am not too sure about the effects, but if you only need a bee's dick of extra room it may work. Also depends how the rotor and wheel attach to the hub.
Use a different offset rotor so it sits a few mm outboard, then modify the caliper or mount so it moves outboard the same amount.
Or rethink your entire brake setup.
May give you some options, but as I said be careful whatever you do, you don't want brakes or wheels falling off.

Can't bash the lower control arm in, becuase it doesn't extend that far out.
My ball joints bolt onto the end of the arm & then stick out past it.
In the last post, the pic shows 2 angled flat pieces bolted together. That's the end of the arm & start of the ball joint.
Ummm... what's RCAs?
The calipers have already got 1.5mm shaved off them to move outwards slightly. This is already 0.5mm into the "meat" of the caliper.
I'm probably going to grind off parts of the ball joint itself.
Spoke to the guy I've been dealing with at Racebrakes & they've done stuff to these for race cars to get clearance.
If this works, I might some new ones & repeat the process on them.

All fixed.
Don't know how legal grinding off parts of the ball joint is tho.
I wonder if there is a WST tool part number for an angle grinder?
