Does anyone have an exploded veiw of delorto 40 DCOE carbs, and possibly a setup guide I can read for seting up on the 2TG engines. What is the best way to clean these, so they come up looking new? I'm not too keen on the wire brushed polish look, was thinking chemical or sand blast, but then maybe sand blast isn't a good idea on carbs...
Any help or advice on this would be good...

I cleaned up my Twin 40mm Dellorto carbies with Car-B-Cleaner and they came up looking like new. I have seen polished carbs before, but man that would be a lot of work.

I disassembled mine, cleaned them, rebuilt them, got a tune and all was good. I didn't have a manual so i just worked it out myself. i am sure there are manual around though, perhaps try chasing down an old Alfa manual of some sort as some of the early Alfas had the Dellortos on them standard.

I might be able to chase down a mate's Alfa manual, I'll see if there's anything useful in there (and in English!)

An exploded veiw would be a good start if you can scan and email, have stripped down one of the carbs down to its bones. would be able to put it together no problem, but would be interested to see the breakdown of it on paper..
Thanks mate..

meccanico, elettrico optional. PTO 540 g./min. ... Inversore per sgolfamento. elettrico ...

Just put sgolfamento into google and came up with that... Hope that helps Laughing

no not really..

i know what the thing is.. it's a vac diaphragm that connects to the choke (as well as the manual choke)... i just never found what that word meant. i tried numerous dictionaries, but i guess it's a car specific technical term...

dID YOU TRY A TRANSLATION BY REMOVING THE "S" in the front of it, I think in italian its like our plural of smoething...

sgolfamento has got me stumped as to exactly what it means...Way too obscure considering italian is my second language (well less and less these days it seems!).

I don't think the 's' at the start means anything seeing as it isn't an adverb (it would imply negativity in that case).
