I have been looking for a difinative answer for this and a few people directed me here.
I have an AE82 corolla with a 20v silver top conversion in it.
I am looking at going turbo power.
I have formulated a list in my head but am looking to lock that down with a bit more knowledge (Hopefully from you guys )
So here is my list of parts needed.
Microtech
T28 bb turbo
FMIC & Custom piping
Larger Fuel pump
Custom manafold
Injectors.
Now here comes the questions...
What do you guys think I will need to use for a fuel pump Aftermarket bosh or is there anything in the toyota range that will do the job?
Secondly What size injectors would you guys recomend?
Thridly and most importantly, I am looking at 160kw atw reliably, do I need to go forged internals? If so just the pistons or rods as well??
Will the Gearbox and axels hold up to the task as I know Toyota has a habbit of over engineering everything so I am hoping they will and if they do need to be upgraded what is a worthy replacment?
chasing double the existing power output i think it's pretty safe to say you'll have to pay some attention to the internals if you want reliability. You can:
A) Rebuild existing with forged internals
B) Find yourself a gze block and modify to suit the 20v head.
or
C) sell the 20v, get the gze and just turbo that.
