um... wats wrong with this picture
the lower pic is the hose on the diff and the other one is wats on the shell, do i need to change the one on the shell wat ever it is (old skool brake cables?)

I may be way off track, but it looks as if the top pic is a hand brake cable. That square end goes into the drum brake mechanism.
The bottom pic is the rear brake line (hydraulic). You need to plug that brake line into the female threaded brake line on your chassis. Should be on the passenger side of the tailshaft just in front of the diff housing.
So no, they dont plug together.

I second that , but the diff brake hose is on the drivers side , remember the exhaust is on the other side
