Sprinter boot lock loose Thu, 11 November 2004 06:14 Go to next message
hey,can someone please help me out?
I noticed that the boot lock (the bit attatched to the body not the hatch) was loose, so I tightened it with a screwdriver, then a week later it was loose again, only this time the left side was able to tighten back up, but the nut behind the right bolt has fallen off and I can't find it.

If I can manage to find it or get one off someone else, how would I go about bolting it back in? It doesn't appear as if I would be able to hold the nut in place with my fingers while I turn the bolt onto it??

And once I have managed to replace it what can I do to make sure is doesn't come loose again.

Thanks for any help.

once that plastic cover is off you should be able to get your nut back no worries, and if its anything like my car bolting it back on wont be hard at all
washers under the nuts will keep em there!

yes, 2dr is coupe.

Translation:

Once u take the rubber off you should be able to blow your nuts all over the place no worries, and if its anything like blowing it by youself it wont be hard at all.
dont forget to wash under your nuts when ur done.
