Is she still for sale?
anyway same sorta questions, what are the brakes like on the car?
is that rust in the back big enough to stop rego?
are the shockeys good enough to pass a pink slip?
and what part of Sydney are you in I would like to have a look see at the car?
I'm in Parramatta and I drive out to Penrith each day for work

brakes are standard and do the job
rust is in spare wheel well, has been hit with rust inhibitor and been repaired, cannot be seen and u wont know its there, it will pass rego fine.
shockies are practically brand new
as for the headlights i got the main connection off the battery replaced not long before i sold it, im betting that fixing the headlights will take 2mins of tracing some of the connectors, cleaning, slightly bending the terminals and putting them securely back together.

has it at least got disc brakes on the front?
Hey Jarvis man I have tomorrow off was wondering weather I could come have a look at the car?
.....is that a differant colour paint on the underside of the bonnett?
and does anyone know how many hundreds it's gonna be to get the rego and insurence swapped over and re'adjusted?

yep its a different colour under the bonnet, its non-metallic, i suspect toyota saved money painting the engine bay non-metallic.
i assure u its factory colour in the engine bay no funny stuff, and i resprayed the outside the factory toyota silver colour.
it wont cost u that much to transfer the rego.

Its standard practice for toyota to leave their engine bay in a matt finish on their newer models. I wouldnt find it suspect at all. That 1g fares pretty good against my belter of a 18r.

Yeah sometimes I wish that I had a in car DVD player so that I had something to do while I wait for it to get up to speed. One day I'll manage an engine upgrade.
