OK... heres the story
i need to adjust my cams to 98 - 98 degrees.. thats Intake set for max lift 98 degrees BTDC and exhaust set at 98 degrees max lift ATDC.
anyway Jazae86 and i did this sunday and basically it wouldnt even fire.. after much macking around.. we couldnt get it to run any better then what i have it at now. we couldnt work out why
basically today i remeber the CAS reads it at TDC.. and we have to move the exhaust cam a fair bit to get that 98 mark.. so thats putting the CAS out and giving an incorrect reading
so HOW do i keep the CAS at TDC while the crank is at TDC also?
http://www.pbase.com/image/5355688 theres a pic of my motor and CAS... have a look and tell me what i need to do.

Thats a tidy looking motor you have there
Surely if you set your cams, then position the motor at TDC #1, remove the CAS, set it to the alignment marker, re-install and then use the slider adjustment to set base timing, then it should all be ok?
By the way, do you mind if I ask where you got the adjustable cam gears, and the oil filter base? I'm after these for mine.

I got my remote filter kit from the local speed shop (JRs auto sport in croydon), but I'd love to hear where theres some reasonably priced cam gears!
